# ezgh flags envs create

{/* Generated by ezgh-cli's internal/tools/clidocs from the ezgh command tree. Don't edit: change the command's help in ezgh-cli and regenerate. */}

```sh
ezgh flags envs create <key> [--name n] [--color c] [--require-comment] [flags]
```

Create an environment, such as production or staging. Its key can't change; `--name` defaults to it. Every flag gets an off config in it. `--require-comment` makes every targeting change there carry a comment. It has no SDK keys until you create them (`ezgh flags keys create`).

Part of [`ezgh flags envs`](/cli/reference/flags-envs).

## Examples

```sh
ezgh flags envs create production --name Production --color red --require-comment
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `--color` | string | | a color for the console: blue, green, amber, orange, red, pink or purple |
| `--name` | string |  | a display name (default: the key) |
| `--require-comment` | boolean |  | every targeting change needs a comment |

This command also takes the [global flags](/cli/reference#global-flags).
