# ezgh obs alert-rules get

{/* Generated by ezgh-cli's internal/tools/clidocs from the ezgh command tree. Don't edit: change the command's help in ezgh-cli and regenerate. */}

```sh
ezgh obs alert-rules get <rule>
```

Show an alert rule, given by ID, slug (alr\_…) or name: its condition, for, labels, contact points and status (any rule error, whether EZGH is evaluating it late, and warnings), then its current instances. -o json prints the rule's document with its status: save it to a file, edit it, and apply it with `ezgh obs alert-rules apply -f`.

Part of [`ezgh obs alert-rules`](/cli/reference/obs-alert-rules).

## Examples

```sh
ezgh obs alert-rules get "High API latency"
ezgh obs alert-rules get alr_h1ghl4t3ncy0 -o json > rule.json
```

## Flags

This command also takes the [global flags](/cli/reference#global-flags).
