# ezgh obs dashboards create

{/* Generated by ezgh-cli's internal/tools/clidocs from the ezgh command tree. Don't edit: change the command's help in ezgh-cli and regenerate. */}

```sh
ezgh obs dashboards create -f <file.json> [flags]
```

Create a dashboard from a JSON file: { "name", "description", "tags", "spec" }, where name and spec are required, tags is an object of strings, and spec is the dashboard's variables, time range, refresh interval and panels. -f - reads the file from stdin. It always creates a new dashboard (an id or slug in the file is ignored); `apply` creates or updates. A project has at most 200 dashboards (the quota obs.dashboards.perProject).

Part of [`ezgh obs dashboards`](/cli/reference/obs-dashboards).

## Examples

```sh
ezgh obs dashboards create -f checkout.json
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `-f`, `--file` | string | | the dashboard's JSON file, or - for stdin |

This command also takes the [global flags](/cli/reference#global-flags).
