# ezgh obs datasets delete

{/* Generated by ezgh-cli's internal/tools/clidocs from the ezgh command tree. Don't edit: change the command's help in ezgh-cli and regenerate. */}

```sh
ezgh obs datasets delete <dataset> [flags]
```

Delete a dataset and all of its data. It's deleting until its data is purged, in the background; meanwhile ingest refuses its environment's records. After that, the environment's next record creates a new, empty dataset: revoke the ingest key to stop data for good. It asks first on a terminal; `--yes` confirms otherwise.

Part of [`ezgh obs datasets`](/cli/reference/obs-datasets).

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `-y`, `--yes` | boolean |  | don't ask for confirmation |

This command also takes the [global flags](/cli/reference#global-flags).
