# ezgh sso custom-domains create

{/* Generated by ezgh-cli's internal/tools/clidocs from the ezgh command tree. Don't edit: change the command's help in ezgh-cli and regenerate. */}

```sh
ezgh sso custom-domains create <hostname>
```

Add a hostname you own, such as login.acme.com, where the directory is served besides https://<alias>.sso.ezgh.app, as its own OpenID Connect issuer (https://<hostname>) and SAML entity. It's pending until EZGH SSO finds both DNS records it prints: a TXT record proving you own it, and a CNAME to <alias>.sso.ezgh.app (so an apex domain can't be used). Then a certificate is issued and attached (issuing), and the hostname is served (active). The records are checked at once, then every 15 minutes for a week; `ezgh sso custom-domains verify` checks them within seconds. A hostname is served by one directory at a time, and a directory has at most 10.

Part of [`ezgh sso custom-domains`](/cli/reference/sso-custom-domains).
