# ezgh sso users update

{/* Generated by ezgh-cli's internal/tools/clidocs from the ezgh command tree. Don't edit: change the command's help in ezgh-cli and regenerate. */}

```sh
ezgh sso users update <user> [--name n] [--email e] [--given-name g] [--family-name f] [--department d] [flags]
```

Change a directory user's name, email address or department. `--given-name` "", `--family-name` "" and `--department` "" clear them. Users your identity provider provisions over SCIM are locked while its SCIM token lives (Locked: yes in get): they're changed there, not here.

Part of [`ezgh sso users`](/cli/reference/sso-users).
