# ezgh workflows schedules trigger

{/* Generated by ezgh-cli's internal/tools/clidocs from the ezgh command tree. Don't edit: change the command's help in ezgh-cli and regenerate. */}

```sh
ezgh workflows schedules trigger <schedule> [--key k] [flags]
```

Start a run of the schedule's workflow now, with its input. It ignores the overlap policy, and doesn't count as a firing. `--key` names the run: triggering again with the same key answers the same run instead of starting another (a fresh key is made without it). It also needs workflows.runs.start on the workflow.

Part of [`ezgh workflows schedules`](/cli/reference/workflows-schedules).

## Examples

```sh
ezgh workflows schedules trigger nightly-report --key "rerun-$(date +%F)"
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `--key` | string | | names the run: the same key reaches the same run (1 to 200 printable ASCII characters) |

This command also takes the [global flags](/cli/reference#global-flags).
